If you may still be confused on what exactly Twitter is and what you do on it, it’s basically an online platform where you can post continuous threads of thought. Twitter is one of what I call the “Big Three” of social media platforms, which include Facebook and Instagram.
Its interface allows users to consistently post up to 280 characters into the “Twitterverse,” giving their followers brief updates of what they’re doing in any given moment of their lives. For many brands, Twitter is a great way to have an ongoing conversation with their followers in order to keep in touch, and sometimes for use as a focus group for new and upcoming products. If you’re racking your brain for an idea of what to post on Twitter as a form of engaging your audience, considering using Twitter polls.
According to Twitter, polls were created to “allow users to weigh in on questions posed by other people.” Creating a poll is as simple as posting a tweet. Just click the third icon under the dialogue box and type in your content like you normally would, then choose the length of the time the question is available, up to seven days. You can choose up to four options for your questions, and as soon as you hit “Tweet” and your users start answering, you can view results almost immediately.
When you think of questions to ask, don’t think too hard, as brands and users across the Twitterverse like to use this option as a creative outlet. Some people have even made choose your own adventure stories out of it!
Using Twitter for your brand may seem intimidating if you don’t have an idea of what to post. Luckily, its features to make reaching out to your audience easier. If you’re looking for someone to help you create content and grow your Twitter following, let’s work together. Contact me to learn more.
